Active Adventures Await

It’s fair (if not an understatement) to say that Vermont’s an active state. Yes, it is true that there are those who prefer to paint the mountains and stroll along the streams; their ruminations turned into works that hang in places like Greensboro’s Highland Center for the Arts, or in between pages of poetry books.

And then there are those whose contemplations are expressed in sweat, mud, and maybe just a little bit of blood. Those who prefer to run and rumble along mountain ridgelines and swim the lake shorelines. And should you be one of those folks, September is your month to be in Actively NEKed.

One of our more challenging Adventures gets underway this weekend with the Jay Peak Trail Running Festival and offers a few more ups and downs through the month with the Westmore Mountain Challenge, the Northeast Kingdom Marathon and the Kingdom Games. All offer their fair share of sore muscles and satisfaction, but more importantly the chance to win the most coveted of all prizes…getNEKedVT SHWAG. Here’s how you get Actively NEKed.
